Thanks Rob. As unfortunate as it all is, I am going to end up in a new, and much better house when it's all said and done. I am definitely going to be out some money, but it's only money.Sorry Jay - my parents had a similar situation in Florida back in the 80s. Their house was built on a concrete slab (no foundation, basement or crawl space) but they had to tear up the slab and re-pour it since the heat of the fire ruined the strength of the concrete. They ended up rebuilding but it is quite an ordeal to replace literally EVERYTHING you own. Although insurance treated them well, they still lost a lot of money. The one bright spot was the car in the garage - it was burned beyond recognition so they had to give them high blue book for it.....
I hope things go well in the rebuild and you can get back home soon.
I'm very happy Ranger wasn't involved. Insurance was a big fight on that, and much of the extras/mods are uninsured because Canadian insurance is such a scam. Plus, it's almost done and the way I want it after almost two years. I don't want to have to do it all again.
