My second driveshaft replacement

The driveshaft in my 2021 Tremor was replaced around 25k. I‘m at 53k and it needs to be replaced again. Has anyone else experienced multiple driveshaft replacements? The dealership service department is baffled on what’s happening though it is still covered under warranty. It‘s just making a noticeable grinding noise but still driveable.

Are they replacing it because of the carrier bearing?

Good question. They couldn't give me much detail on what about the driveshaft failed but believe it was some sort of bearing.

They’re working on an adapter for the Tremor. Not sure how soon they’ll be available.

Good question. They couldn't give me much detail on what about the driveshaft failed but believe it was some sort of bearing.

Most likely the carrier bearing then seeing its the only bearing on the drive shaft. Not a specific issue to the Tremor as all the Rangers have the same carrier bearing and there have been posts on here regarding issues. Search “ carrier bearing “

Last I heard he was making them for tremors. Or at least he had some out being tested.

He built two to test I believe. Those worked out well. Needed to get the adapter that fits the Tremor rear differential flange designed on CAD so he could get them made on a CNC. Last I knew he had a Tremor flange and was working on the adapter design.
