i was looking on amazon for a raptor grille and some looked like they said "DORF" , so i backed away slowly , and thought maybe i had been spelling it wrong myself for all this time...

Yeah those are the Chinese knockoffs. The grille pictured above is a Ford branded product. Probably still made in china but its Ford branded to their specs. Thats why you're able to reuse the magnetic surround piece that is stamped “Ranger”.

The reason that you see “DORF” on the unlicensed knockoffs is because it would be a copyright violation to use the name”FORD” unless it was licensed by them. The DORF letters can be arranged to actually spell FORD (or you can keep it as a DORF).

(I know all that , just gona ride the dumb train , all the way to the statuon.)

The site says it's a "Direct, bolt-on replacement for your Ranger's factory grille." and includes "FORD" and "Ranger" lettering.

I actually think this is the whole kit and caboodle.

Yeah, maybe. I see what you mean, but like I said, that’s what I was told. That the surround piece gets reused. Just looking at the price difference between this “performance” grille at $189.00 versus the regular OEM grille at $331.00, it would seem to suggest that something is amiss.

Its still the most corrupt and possibly the most oppressive state in the union.

Correct, any vehicle that was valued under $10,000 on trade was exempt, which caused the dealers to offer less on trade to get under that cap and save the buyer money on the tax end.
Before January 1st, 2020:
New Car Price $65,000
Current Vehicle Value $38,000
Trade-In Tax Credit $38,000
Taxable Amount $27,000
Tax Paid $2,430
After January 1st, 2020:
Trade-In Tax Credit $10,000
Taxable Amount $55,000
Tax Paid $4,950

But I just read that all of that got overturned by the auto sales lobby effective January of this year:

Spent the nite at the casino ans haven t made it home yet to see if check made it or not , may take till Monday , ill stay quite till then , BUT , I have told the under the bridge club that I started this thread and its the thread that finished me here and I damn well am gona have the last word in it , so if they keep coming in , im staying to reply ....with horrible grammer and jumbled up sentance structure that is unreadable , I WILL CHECK EVERY DAY , until im DEAD , to see if I need to reply . ya hate me , then don't talk to me , pretty dang simple . oh and I might stay down in off topic a little while. .
