So far it's been a great rig. Great to drive and very comfortable. WAY more civilized than my '91 Range Rover Classic. The color was more for my wife. She said no silver or black. She's a lifelong Cubs fan being from Chicago before moving to CO to go to school in the '80s. So I got Ford's version of Cubbie Blue. I kinda wish they did a Blackhawks red, however.😁
Did someone say RED….?..

That's a good video and I've done that trail several times in my '19 Ranger stock. It can be done with a stock Ranger but going down the last section you really should have a small (2") lift and 32"-33" tires which makes it a little easier. I used trail control (IIRC set at 3 or 4 mph) which helps a lot. That trail gets used a lot and then weather has eroded it since they made this video over 6 years ago. They done fix or groom the trails out there so they get beat up pretty bad especially with those darn Pink Jeep tours.
Very nice! Except for the pink jeeps. Obviously the color is wrong! I’ve found @Stage3Motorsports content super informative. The Ranger buildout they did is similar to what I’d like to end up with. In that video, I was very impressed that it would handle most of that stock. As far as I can tell, If I tried a lot of that with my F150 it would have been a mess (even disregarding the width issues). Granted it was probably a little overloaded in the bed. The most like that I’ve done is a short trail up to Loch Lomond here in CO (not really close at all!) it was rutted out, rocky and had a bit of stream/puddle crossing. I intended to seek out more stuff that was similar but then I ended up hurting my back with a what appeared to be a mild disc bulge. I’m closing in on feeling normal again though! I guess a question around this is would the Eibach 2R with Icon leaf springs be sufficient for that and maybe overlanding to get to campsites? Not sure what the weight in the bed would look like at this point but I like the adjustability of the icon leafs.

What part of CO are you in?
Just a little north of the Denver metro. I moved from the Black Hills area of SD. This part of the country is so beautiful and the weather is fantastic. Still get 4 seasons but all are fairly mild. I love it here, except… for the terrible politics. At least the taxes aren’t the worst… yet.

Seems like that would be quite a shock, moving from the Black Hills SD to a little north of Denver Metro area?

I have a bunch of friends from the area so I’ve been visiting frequently over the years. I’ve also lived both in a city and out in the country (prefer the country), so not really much of a change other than there’s more fruity people. I’m out on the edge of a suburb next to some hay fields, so it’s a far cry from the horror that is downtown Denver. There were a lot of things I didn’t like about the black hills area, and it’s hard to justify staying in a place where my day to day life was worse just to have slightly lower taxes and better politicians (who still sucked by the way).

I'm in NOCO as well. I grew up in Niwot, went to school in Boulder (don't judge me!) and still live in the area. I'm thinking about heading to the Black Hills to get away from the morass that CO has become. It's not the state I grew up in. My family's been in the southern Black Hills since 1883 and we still have a family ranch there. Beautiful place. Epic off-road motorcycling, as well. Trails everywhere.

I understand that. My fiance (from here) often says the same thing about CO. At this point I'm planning on staying around here. I've got a lot of great friends and a church community that I love. It's the first time in a long time I've felt rooted. I totally get the urge to move though. Especially there's a family ranch to be close to!

The latest haul!
  1. Black tailgate letters
  2. Hood struts
  3. Tailgate damper

Now I’m trying to figure out some bed storage. I’ve got a Husky tub strapped down but I’d like something a little more permanent. Looking at the swing boxes, but they seem expensive. I might consider building out some storage on the sides with my mediocre wood working skills, but I don’t have a really good place to do that project right now.

I was waiting for this! The tailgate damper basically improves the suspension enough right?
Your body will also see a noticeable improvement too. o_O

Guess which ones the damper arm:question:
