I put this together for those that have commented on the trailer with LED taillights errors. Also works for hitch covers with LEDs.

Interesting! What exact errors were you seeing other than the trailer connected warning and the crosstraffic and backup sensors being disabled (part of a trailer being connected). My TT has all LED lighting and have never seen any errors displayed.

It appears you are adding resistors to the turn signal curcuit, which is usually to eliminate hyperflash. Which is an indication of a light outage, and can be caused by the low resistance of LED lights.

I was getting random and repeated errors regarding turn sign failure and trailer disconnect. Now I just get the cross traffic / backup sensor disabled message once after clicking ok.

What type of trailer was this with? Was it a small utility trailer with single taillights or a larger factory build trailer? I ask because the cheaper light sets on smaller trailers may not have enough total resistance and trip the bulb out detection. Also the trailer detection uses this resistance to detect the the trailer, I believe on the brake curcuit. You added the resistors to the turn/brake curcuit.

One more thing: when you respond to a post, use the REPLY button at the bottom right. That will attach the post that you are replying to, and notify the original poster that you replied. Just add your reply after the [/QUOTE].
