Spare tire heat in left side.
Rubber no like heat.

Truck also tuned? Reaches 120 mph quickly.
Speed limiter lifted?

This sounds really nice!

I also wonder about heat on the side of the spare, and if it will encroach on the spare size.

Many here have said that a 285 will fit in the stock space.

I wonder if this exhaust would reduce that?

Concerning the speedo:

I bought a 1991 Taurus SHO from a friend whose dad owned it and had passed away.

Had 180k miles on it but looked really good.

Driving it home, I noticed that the speedo said I was running well over 100 but I knew that could not be. It was in kph. Canadian version of the car.

Which also meant that the 180k miles was kilometers, or only around 112k miles.

Told my friend about the discrepancy but he said no worries, his dad would be glad I had it.

Would love to know what it sounds like in cab while pulling a trailer. That was the main complaint about my 5.0 f150 with the manga flow, 3000rpm for hours at highway speeds was taxing on the ears

It sounds great in the video, not aggressive at all. I’d consider it if the tips were black!

They have them in black and they are available on EBay for less than $600
And yes I would add a heat shield or two

If he was in 2wd and got after it like that, all it would do is spin the tires even on a clean highway. Similar climate here for me and 4H is used a lot.

I really like the sound of this exhaust. I'm going to have to take a closer look at MBRP. I was originally gravitating towards Magnaflow and Borla.

The concerns about heat and the spare are legit. The donut spare on a Chevy S10 I had got ruined by a single side exit Gibson exhaust. Had a flat once and when the spare was put back under the truck it must not have been centered perfectly. I would want heat shields for split duals on the Ranger for sure.

Another potential issue would be clearance issues with a rear sway bar if you wanted to run one. Had this problem on my F150 with split duals and rear Hellwig bar.

I absolutely loved the MBRP exhaust I had on my Ecoboost Mustang. I had the MBRP Race exhaust, and it was a great blend of mild on idle and low throttle and more aggressive the more throttle you gave it, at least in the cab. It's still the best sound I've ever heard on a four cylinder!
Better performance than I expected, too, gained 1-1/2 mpg.

From what little I've been able to glean from teh interwebs, MBRP would be a top choice. They seem to use top shelf materials and are very affordable.

I'm not interested in split rear pipes from a styling standpoint. I like that they have their muffler where the stock resonator was; it might work well even with the single side exhaust.

The reviewer makes special note of the tone. I suspect if you want 'piss off everyone else ' tone you're going to want Borla/Ford Performance. Not sure there is going to be significant performance differences.

Still very happy with the Magnaflow .

Sound a bit like my RS with that exhaust on it. I had a MBRP exhaust on a 2001 Focus and got lots of complements about its sound. Years later MBRP got a bad rap for having rusty systems but from the comments here, they seemed to have turned it around.
