It's really a topic that's not debatable.

All of the world's fastest racecars have T.C, E.S.C, ABS...

Wait.... no they don't ?‍♀

Why? Because that shits garbage if you know how to operate a vehicle.
You sir might want to do some research on the subject, it is blatantly obvious you know not of what you speak.

The elite race cars are devoid of such systems not because the systems don't work, they are devoid because the sport demands the drivers skill be measured not the technology of the vehicles they drive.
Even with that being said the braking systems of todays race cars are far superior and anything you have ever driven.
As for other systems used in todays vehicles such as traction control, again they were developed for race machines and then removed, again not because they didn't work, they were removed to test the drivers ability as opposed to the vehicles technology.
But as PT Barnum said there is one born every minute.......

thats about as relevant as us discussing general aviation piloting in a cessna 182 VS a fighter jet.

they are two totally different environments requiring two totally different approaches. to compare them is rediculous

With that reasoning is the Red Baron is a better pilot than an air force pilot??

The point is, that if you know how to drive a damn vehicle.. all that electronic bullshit is just that.... bullshit. Unnecessary. Waste of time, money, resources.. everything.

Nanny systems in our vehicles are no replacement for skill.

Thank you for validating my point.

Useless systems, if you know how to drive.

I did not validate your point and if you took the time to read this brief article you would see that, but as they say when its all said and done there is usually more said than done.
If I were you, I would pull all those safety features off who knows you might get an extra couple of MPG's

If I could yank all that shit out and not have to deal with a dash lit up like a Christmas tree, I would.

I'd have a lot more fun with my truck in the winter, and I'd still be driving past fools who have managed to stuff themselves in a ditch with all their "safety" features ?‍♀

almost made it to 50 post before turning into a pissing contest. that might be a new record
That truly is, of the many times that subject was discussed on the M6 site it might have gone 6 replies before it turned into a name calling war. Bottom line enjoy what YOU like.

Hi Folks,

Always drove a stick shift car/truck until I bought the 2019 Ranger... So far I am happy with the 10 speed Auto trans, but I am loosing my heal/toe coordination... ☹

best,
Phil

I feel like a New York City, street vendor. I just don't know whether to sell apples or oranges?

Someone mentioned ABS, and the fact race cars don't have them. Really? Have you checked the rules lately? Apparently not!

Pundits aside, under normal conditions, it might be possible to rip off a 0 to 60 faster with a manual than an automatic. The truth is, it does' happen very often.

And lastly... Ask yourself this question: Which type of transmission rules supreme on the drag strip? Manually shifted-planetary boxes, all manual, or automatics like the proverbial PowerGlide?

exactly the same as you I presume....which is awesome because relatively speaking there's a lot of leeway in that term.

and FWIW, for every web page you find that props up your view, I can find one that doesn't. I guess that relatively means that this argument is a waste of time regardless how adamant you are in your views.
Such is the (relative) beauty of life eh? Haha

Well, the point is that it would be nice if Ford, which offers manuals on Rangers worldwide, would offer them in the U.S.&A..so, it's not that "people don't want them" because some do; I among them. In fact, there is no need to "design it in"or invest in R&D to find the right gearbox", because outside US and Canada (as close as Mexico), the manual option exists..
I want it
Manuals are cheaper to build and maintain and they do not require chips or software to operate
Manuals are way more fun to drive
