Does anyone manually downshift in slow traffic, like in town or otherwise, to keep the transmission from up and down hunting?

Excellent and thank you. I will try that. When I'm in stop & go traffic I only use S mode. This keeps me in a lower gear and stops the transmission from hunting. If it's really bad traffic you can use S mode (pushing the side shifter button while in S) and manually shift to keep the shifts even tighter. I do this when going up (or down) steep grades.
It’s all good now. Took it to Discount Tire and they fixed it free. I just had the car there last week to get the tires road forced balanced and rotated and then this!!!!Excellent and thank you. I will try that.
New drive shaft should be here this week.
Dealing with sheet metal screws right now.

Well, I guess you can teach an OLD DOG new tricks. I’ve had this truck five years next month and never used ”S” before. Tried that coming through town and filled her up with 93. Works like a champ, thanks again. When I'm in stop & go traffic I only use S mode. This keeps me in a lower gear and stops the transmission from hunting. Does anybody but me think that was professionally installed in the exact center of that tire? What are the chances of that? It’s all good now. Took it to Discount Tire and they fixed it free. I just had the car there last week to get the tires road forced balanced and rotated and then this!!!!
I'd hate to think someone would do this on purpose but I guess there are jerks out there that might do it. It's probably slim odds of that happening but I'd say it was a road pick up. Now go play the lottery and see how your luck is tonight. lolDoes anybody but me think that was professionally installed in the exact center of that tire? What are the chances of that?
Just put a few more in there and go find something frozen to drive on...Excellent and thank you. I will try that.
