I’m stopping by dealer today to pick one up. Can’t be a whole lot different in price dealer vs. online.
Geez....
That stuff is $30+ at Walmart and O'Reillys!
Because the Online vs. Dealer cost around here is usually a big gap, I went online to see. Turns out, most places are between $30 and $40 CAD. There was only one standout, a Ford Dealership in Hamilton with a strong online parts presence has it on sale for $15, discounted from $20.

That’s $11.34 USD for a U.S. Gallon.

WHAAAAAAAT?

Now double that since it's 50% water.

It is, but you'd be paying a lot for water in the premix. A
Is this the correct coolant?

It is, but you will be paying a premium for someone else's water. Concentrate costs much less per gallon of coolant than two jugs of premix, including your cost for a gallon of distilled water.

Hey all,

My truck is 2021 with 71k. I've noticed when washing the truck, the coolant level is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch below the MIN level. I've read a bunch of threads about the cause "can" be EGR Cooler/sensor or head gasket. I don't have any issues with the truck and I am the original owner. I don't drive it as often anymore, may be 3 times a month.

Just wondering if I should fill it to level or take it to the dealer? No visible leaks on the floor either. Any ideas? Thanks.

My 2021 has been at the same level ever since I bought it in January this year as a CPO from a ford dealership. Right at the bottom of the "Min". I keep telling myself I need to top it off but after 10k miles it hasn't gone down any.

Well crap, when I accidentally knocked off the little hose on the reservoir, and lost enough coolant to give me a light on the dash, I just grabbed the Prestone I had on hand. Didn't even bother to check what was called for.
You should be OK, unless you added green ethylene glycol coolant. That stuff reacts with the orange/yellow OAT coolants and forms a goo that can clog the cooling system.

When I replaced my lower hose I went to Autozone and asked them to look up what one was right, and it wasn't cheap coming in at $35, well what ever they gave me Sucked! because I don't really even live in a colder zone in NY and it has frozen over night and over heated going to the store in the morning two or three times now .... I need to change it out for something better, maybe once or twice per winter we get down to -15F I don't think that is cold LOL I have been in -30F in other trucks and never had it freeze and over heat, once it gets hot it melts it within the hour and you just keep going it was just a pain in the ass.

Or just double it because that’s what others are charging for Prediluted here…

That is good to hear. I’ll probably do an oil analysis just to be on the safe side. Haven’t done spark plugs either, so will be doing that soon.
I get my oil kits from Napa. Some use blackstone. I'm not sure if there is any difference other then the Napa version was a little cheaper, from when I compared it 3 years ago.
