That, that color is all wrong. I can't say where to check, but it looks like something else is missing in but the odd part it is being low too. You would think if something was just adding itself to the coolant you would be over full. I know my Mom's Explorer Sport-trac had a trans-cooler line in the radiator fail and the coolant was overflowing and looked like a strawberry milkshake.

Well I drained the coolant ( far left) added a bottle of Preston coolant cleaner with distilled water, drained it ( middle) then did another fill and drain with distilled water ( far right). Filled it back up with Ford Motorcraft yellow coolant, installed a new cap, and did the above mentioned procedure. Everything worked perfectly and whether or not its related, the heat coming out of the vents in the truck were as hot as ive ever felt it, for what thats worth. So it seems like I dont have any air in the system, which is good I think.

Im going to monitor it over the next couple days and see what the coolant looks like and if it loses any.

I Amazon overnighted a head gasket combustion leak test kit, as linked below. Did the test this morning and the fluid stayed blue allegedly indicating that no exhaust is getting into the coolant system. So I feel a bit better driving the truck and seeing what happens to the coolant color and level.
