FTR Duke, Dad is retired has the time to clean it or have it cleaned and he lives in the city. My truck on lives out in the country on a dusty, dirty gravel road and spends 99.99% of its time on the road.

There’s a member on here who spends most of his time at the landfill with his truck and it’s as pretty as a Christmas package!

So, no excuses…

…a two-bucket wash, plenty of microfibre towels, lots of detail spray, tire dressing and don’t forget the 303 protectant on the plastic bits.

It's my truck, I'm making the payments and the farm truck bath is good enough. I do not need a clean, shiny truck to be Happy.

I guess a farm truck bath means “rain”. If that’s the case, so be it. I’m just happy to see that nice pastoral setting your Ranger gets to enjoy.

We have 3 vehicles and pay $40.00/month for unlimited car wash For all three. love bugs are swarming here and plastering the front of the vehicles plus a drought and a one mile dirt road…My wife takes one vehicle per day to the car wash. I spray the front with de-bugger before she goes….Relentless ..

I remember the first time (late 80's) I encountered love bugs down there. I was visiting a neighbor who moved to Lauderdale By The Sea and drove from my parents house on Marco Island and within a few miles the whole windshield was covered in this nasty things. We were on Alligator Alley so it was 80 miles of dealing with them and trying to keep the windshield clean. We had a white Ford Escort for a rental and you'd swear from the front it was a black car because it was plastered with hundred (maybe thousands) of dead love bugs by the time we got there. lol I then realized while many locals has a netting/bra on the front of their vehicles there.

Yep, they’re nasty. By the way I used to do a lot of air boating and fishing around alligator alley all the way to Marco Island…The good old days…

I came out of work this afternoon and found this ragged POS parked next to my truck.

I guess my OCD makes me feel like I haven't showered in days if my truck gets mucked up after driving through rain...my truck immediately gets the $2 hose down when the sun is back...if its been a more than couple of rain days, it gets a touchless drive through...I just can't drive a dirty truck lol...

Sid, @Msfitoy, we've discussed this in other threads, the occasional farm truck bath that mine gets. In all honesty, the main reason that mine stays dirty most of the time is that there are two sand hauling companies out here and I'm on the road with the drivers from each of those companies every day. I share the road with the drivers from McCraw Materials that is located on the East side of the Red River and the drivers from United Sand and Gravel located on the West side of the river as your heading toward Bonham.

I'm glad you that you understand where I'm coming from Sid, because not everyone does. And as I continue to read through your build thread, and I've read that you are out in the sticks like I am. Us country folk got to stick together lol!
