1950 8N, was my dad's, he bought it just to look at it cause he farmed with one after the war. When he passed, I put it to work with a finish mower. I just change the oil and it keeps on running. I take it to the gas station when I need a gas for it and the lawn tractors and always get a conversation from someone about the Ford.Ranger parked next to my NEW Ford tractor.
OK it might be a stretch to call it new. It is new to me as of today. Now I have a project.
As a 1949 model it is the only thing around here that is older than me.
This one was still in service running a bush hog until just recently. Previous owner used it for 33 years.
I wonder how many modern vehicles will still be running 73 years from now.

That is beautiful. Just the look I am wanting for mine. I have some work to do, but that is one reason I got it. I am still evaluating what it needs. So far looks pretty good. I drove it about two miles from where I bought it to my home. Had my wife follow behind me with flashers on, so I didn't get run over on the 55 mph hilly twisty road I live on.1950 8N, was my dad's, he bought it just to look at it cause he farmed with one after the war. Yes Ford 8N.Nice tractor. Probably a Ford 8N ? Was I was a kid ( 100 years ago ), I use to mow the fields with a 49 Famall Cub.
It has been converted to 12 volt and was restored by a friend who has also passed away. They are made to work, think it could pull a house down. I have been on many Kentucky hilly and curvy roads, glad your wife had your back. Your tractor looks really good for it's age, someone took good care of it.That is beautiful. Cool that you are getting use out of a tractor that old.
Kauai? They're starting to show up on Maui now, but not anywhere near as many as on Kauai. That is indeed a chicken. It's always fun talking to people on the mailland..."did I just hear a rooster?" They're feral here.
