Here’s my experience. The dealer installed 2.5in spacers instead of the new struts and springs like they were supposed to. It was about a month before they could get my truck back in to install the correct parts. The ride difference wasn’t that big except under braking and the nose dive was less. Unless your getting crazy off road the spacers with better rear shocks will be the most cost effective solution. If a 2in kit would have been available (Covid/Supply issues at the time) I would have went for that. My truck sits level but is a touch negative with my boat hooked to it. I have the Rough Country Springs and struts on mine. Hopefully this info helps.

Thanks Andy. You say the nose dive was less, I assume you mean with the Rough Country springs and struts, correct?

It was less with the blocks and the Rough Country kit. Installing the Bilstein Rear Shocks was a big improvement on the nose dive as well. I installed the Bilsteins last. They are significantly better when towing. In my opinion changing out the stock FX4 rear shocks is the best suspension upgrade you can make. Especially for the money and being an easy install. Even with roughly a 1/2in negative rake towing it handles fine. I towed my boat from Charleston SC to Captiva Island FL (1200 miles round trip)this year with no issues and will probably make 2 trips of that distance next year.
