I let my 19 year old nephew drive it while my brother and I rode with him. I took the back seat. He's a very good driver, but that was a strange feeling riding in the backseat of my own truck!

I let my daughter drive it....about 10 feet. Needed it pulled forward and I had been hauling topsoil all day; I was sweaty and filthy - didn't want to get the inside of my new toy dirty. The look on her face when I handed her my key was priceless: "Why are you handing me your key? Is this a joke?" I told her not to get used to it.

I tell them the truth, which is that I do not ask to drive anybody else's vehicle, and I do not allow anyone else to drive my vehicle. If I bang up your car, or you crash mine, are we still friends?
Good Response. Normally, it takes a standup person who borrowed the vehicle to offer to repair / replace what they damaged.
