Crappy leather in our Lariats.
It should be a warranty issue. The vinyl piece next to the leather is fine.

Great,top grade vinyl and cheap leather lol. Now I'll have to remove my seat covers and check mine.

Thanks for the heads up Op. Hope they'll take care of it under warrantee but this shouldn't be happening at all.

The leather in many vehicles is so crappy with a vinyl like feel, why bother using leather?

Leave the seat covers on and keep shopping for wheels..

Mine looks great ....GLAD I spent the money on all the other useful items that come with the Lariat package..after market LED's or Xeon light sets, leather covers, wheels, added lights, buttons and gadgets seems like a far worse waste of $$$$ With that said, Randy's custom leather seats looks well done and a nice touch!

If your leather has an issue and you are under warranty, just have them replace it.

I got leather because I couldn't not get leather and still get the things I wanted from the lariat trim. I've always thought it was among the stupidest materials for a seat in a car.

I agree. I wish all automakers would offer a premium cloth option wherever leather is offered.

Same, a premium cloth seat would be exactly what I would have picked.

so i went and seen one of the new C8 Corvettes that's been making the rounds @ shows n what not. This one is showing some wear with all the folks getting in/out.

just looks like a bit of creasing but no wear. Dropping down into it you wouldn’t be sliding across it as much as up into the Ranger though.
