2019 Ford Ranger w tow package and dealer-installed brake controller (though issue was present before brake controller was installed). Plug into 7-pin connector: running lights work, both turn signals work. However, once I hit the brakes (to shift out of park), I get a left lamp fault message on the console and the left light no longer works. Unplug the 7-pin and plug back in, everything works again-- until I hit the brakes, then, it's back to no left turn signal or brake light. Ford service department says the truck works on their 7-pin tester.
My 2008 Nissan with brake controller lights the camper lights perfectly with no issues, even after hitting the brakes. Camper service department says it's not the camper. Installed new rear lights just in case, but the problem still occurs.
Travel trailer is 2011 Cruiser Fun Finder 189XBS.
Any ideas?
