Glad it was an easy fix! Finally had some time to kill in the garage and it was the sway bar link. Tightened it up and went for a drive and problem solved. Thanks for the diagnosis!

and why was this an easy fix? Was this from the factory suspension or what did you do? I am not clear on what you might have done to your Ranger....very unlikely this was loose from the factory, but we need more clear data on what caused this.Glad it was an easy fix!
I've got Bilstein 5100s on it, basically just a leveling kit, and takeoff wheels and tires from a Bronco that measure 255/75/17. Like I said, I was doing some fairly grueling offroading when the noise started.and why was this an easy fix? Was this from the factory suspension or what did you do? Mystery solved, I washed my truck after off-road and filled the washer tank before I climbed under to see what the knock was.. the knock disappeared the next week off-road. That was a year ago. I thought I broke something.. THANKS!!!May sound odd, but is your windshield washer reservoir full? If not, fill it all the way to the top and see if the noise goes away.
If mine is not completely full, it makes what sound like knocking noises on bumps as the washer fluid sloshes in the reservoir.
It was the sway bar end link. Tightened it up and good to goWithout much experience with this chassis, my first places to look would be the sway bar end links and shock mount points.
See my edit.It was the sway bar end link. Tightened it up and good to go
Ha! Put Velcro on pillar to stop passenger seatbelt knock!I will confirm that it does make a knocking noise, if you stand at right front fender and bounce truck, you will hear it. (Mine came from factory low) Thank you Ford. I found it by shaking truck and mechanics stethoscope.
Another possible is passenger seatbelt bouncing against pillar, if not perfectly placed it rattles against pillar.
