Does anyone know if the 1.9% / $1000 bonus is available for factory orders? Also, does Ford Credit require a minimum loan amount? Any penalties for prepaying? Does the dealer incur in a liability if the loan is fully paid in a short term ?

The incentives at the time of the actual sale should be in place. You should be prepared to list them as the dealer may not be as forthcoming. You are not obligated and now that dealers have some stock you might find your truck already built somewhere. As far as a liability re the loan. If the dealer sets a loan up for you they can buy down the interest rate. But yeah if you pay it off, they will lose some money on the interest. Thats what I did. I got a decent loan rate but I didn't care as I put $30K down and financed the rest to carry three months until I pay it off. The interest rate was mediocre at 3.99% about 45 a month in interest.

I ordered the exact truck I wanted and found one in stock in Charlotte NC. Bought it there. My dealer did not have what I wanted but they still treat me as a customer as I leased my MKC there. Very good dealer. Ford's Quick Lane is doing the lift

My truck arrived to the dealer very early today. I talked to the salesman and dealer owner. I had the option of 1.9% loan +$1000 +$500 cash backs or 0% 36mo +$1000 cash back. I have chosen the 0% option. The loan is approved, I will pick it up tomorrow.
I think you will find the 1.9% loan with 1500 off a cheaper payoff. 0% loans are not as good as some rebates with a conventional interest rate

Let's say you borrowed $30,000

At 1.9% the loan will be on $1500 off $28500 You will end up paying $29,343
AT 0% the loan will be a total of $30,000 paid for. (and I think the dealer may still gets all factory rebates making his profit sweeter)
Cashback is a better deal in this case.
So it actually cost more for the truck to take 0% without a rebate. 0% loans are tricky. Dealers love them because the customer does not use an amortization schedule to see the total paid using the rebates.

KUDOS for taking only a 36 month loan. It is my rule, if I cannot pay a vehicle off in three years. it's too expensive (or I put down a larger amount to make it work. I don't want payments after the warranty is over.

Too lazy right now to look up the amortization tables.......are you saying the total paid on the 1.9% loan works out to UNDER 30k?

I would have guessed the free money was the better deal.......

At 0% the rebate was $1000, vs. $1,500 at 1.9%, so the difference was $500, not $1500. In my case I decided I could do better with the cash, and to simplify, I went with the 0%, which implied 36 months.

Free money is free money. 0% is nice.

They have really been stocking up on them!

That may become a fly and buy situation for some shoppers.
YEah That's pretty much what I did. With 113 in stock, I don't see the need to order. There should be a truck for everyone

These deep discounts would have saved me $3000 LOL. I don't think the Ranger is selling all that well. I believe Ford is not educating the public enough on the 4 Banger.

If I didn't understand the EcoBoost and had a Tacoma that has a weak V6 (which it does, I had a 2016) and I heard Ford was coming out with a 4 cyl truck in all trims I too would pass. I would not even test drive one. The only reason I did was because of my disappointment with my 4th Tacoma.
Except for Ford owners, many small turbos are misunderstood by the truck buying public. No other midsize truck has a 4 cyl in its premium model. That's why according to polling and reading many who bought the Ranger were Already Ford owners!! A handful of Tacoma owners bought the Ranger, They like me did the research on the EcoBoost.

I also think turbos scare people (even though they have been around for a relatively long time)

I agree with everything you say here. I was skeptical about a 4 banger until i drove it. Who knew it would feel so torquey. It is a different approach by Ford. They do a half way decent job of marketing the truck itself as compared to initial model year Colorado's. It was obvious GM did not want to effect Silverado sales.
