Hi everyone,

I spent the last few days researching and looking at many threads here on Ranger5G and other forums to find an answer to this question.

Most lightbars have the mounting brackets on either end. I am looking for a 20 inch light bar (was looking at NightForce and few others), but all of their mounting brackets are at the end of the lightbar, meaning I need almost 21 or 22 inch width bracket to mount it too. I purchased this following License plate bracket mount: https://www.amazon.ca/Nilight-NI-KI...locphy=1001964&hvtargid=pla-493816634798&th=1

I am wondering if there is any LED Lightbars, that are good quality and that are able to have customizable mounting points rather than on either end of the light bar. I made a quick paint sketch of what I mean. The top bar I sketched below has the brackets on the side. I want a bar, as sketched by the lower image, to able to be connected closer together, at a maximum of 10 or 11 inches in width to fit the above bracket so I can attach it to mounting points provided on the license plate mount.

Anyone else have similar issues or have solutions for this? Sorry if this doesn't make sense

Do not mount a lightbar to your license plate mount.

Go grab that mount, shake it around, and tell me that's stable enough for a light.

Pro-tip, Amazon is the new Autozone. Stay away from vehicle stuff there.

Thanks y'all for your input.

I don't really like the LED light bar in the bottom bumper on the front of the truck. I do a lot of hunting and camping, which includes towing often, in very high and mountainous regions. I wouldn't feel safe putting a light bar there when I'm going up 6 to 10 percent grade for kilometres on end, just not enough airflow to cool things down, thats why I was looking at other options available.

If airflow was a concern ford wouldn't of blocked that space off with the stupid ACC box on the higher trim models. Your concerns are unwarranted.

Gotta keep that A/C condenser cool I guess.
