Hi all I am new to this forum. I just upgraded from my 2012 ford focus. And I got a 2020 ranger lariat 4x4.
I bought it used obviously and haven’t even put 5,000 miles on it. This will be the second time I’ve taken this truck into my local ford dealer for a jerking issue. The first inspection they did a tranny relearn and replaced the spark plugs, they told me the fluid was fine in the transmission. But the same issue came back about 1,000 miles later? Just not sure what it can be at this point. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue or has and is able to give me some ideas on what it could be? Thanks in advance

I am guessing you have the same issue I had with my 2019 FX4 XLT. The dealer reflashed the computer several times. Next time you drive it, either activate 'Tow Mode" (if you have that option) or drive it in sport mode and see if you have the same issue. If not, your problem is likely not the transmission, but an EGR Differential Pressure Sensor. I was still under warranty but refused to go back to the dealer. The part number is KA1Z-5L200-A. It can be had for around $18-20 for the sensor only. The hoses don't need to be changed, but you will need a couple of small clamps. The problem is caused by moisture, a by-product of combustion, working its way up the sampling tube from the exhaust and ruining the sensor membrane. I am on my third one, but the truck drives perfectly now. There is a forum thread devoted to the issue here. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/thre...mbly-replacement-write-up-lb5z-9j433-b.29247/

Good luck.
