Ive been eyeballing these for quite a while and looking to add a full-size panel to the passenger size of my 5ft bed w/ softopper. Does anyone have real world experience with either or both? Other than price and appearances i cant tell any big differencees between the two. Thanks!

I have the Builtright ones. They are very easy to install and quality is also great. I've had no complaints with them and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Slightly off topic, but I hope they develop a bulkhead panel for the front of the bed. They have one for the F150 and I like how you can attach a bike front frame to it.

JCR offers a bulkhead panel i believe. Thats a good idea for bike transport. And thanks, I appreciate your opinion. Builtright looks nicer in terms of full molle coverage of the panels, JCR is a bit better priced and nice it can be reversed if i needed to put on driver side or flexibility for resale.

I have BuiltRight in my Bronco and love it. I would say that overall it looks a bit cleaner to me in terms of mounting locations and I like that you don't lose the middle tie downs. You can also buy it in sections. It doesn't save you any money to buy all 4 pieces at once. Outside of shipping perhaps.

The JCR definitely has an attractive price tag.

The only drawback for both is that I am afraid I may lose access to my Wolf Haus 12V plug. But, I am sure there are work arounds for that.

I don't know about the Bronco, but on the Ranger's 12V you have to Dremel out the plug spot on the panel. A little annoying but there's no set spot for the plug so there's not really a better option.

Gonna shoot my shot here. If y'all want to see Builtright make a bulkhead accessory panel for the Ranger, please send them an email - [email protected] - I've asked them a few times about it and they've essentially said that interest has been low so they haven't made it a priority. It's a pretty sick panel for mounting things like bikes, fishing rods, jacks, recovery boards, etc. Here's the one they've made for the F150 as an example: https://builtrightind.com/products/bulkhead-accessory-rail-kit-ford-f-150-raptor-2015

I got the BRI ones earlier this summer off of a member who switched to a Decked system; they're on both sides of my bed, and have made it much easier to secure and organize the gear that stays in there on the regular. I had been looking at the JC's when I got the BRI's, and was intrigued by the front panel, but I don't really need it since the front of my bed is "covered" by two bins that are secured by a ratchet bar.

Just spoke with Matt from BuiltRight and they’re hoping for a bulkhead rack design to be completed this winter.

I’m doubtful. I’ve heard that same message before. I emailed them a year ago after seeing someone else on here say they were working on one. Matt wrote back that they hoped to have it ready in early ā€˜23. Emailed them again in March and was told they didn’t have a Ranger in their fleet to develop with.

Not sure how hard it could be, especially since he said they’d be making a bar, like on the F-150, and not a full MOLLE panel. They have the mounting point measurements from their side panels, and they can easily go to a dealership with a tape measure to get the width of the bed. Keep the screws adjustable for installing with/without the side panels. Offer a few for sale at reduced price for testing, and there you go.

I wonder if I could fashion something out of 8020 instead. At this rate, it’d probably be faster…

I used the JCR cabin panel to attach a gun holster and other accessories. If you put it on your right side your knee perfectly leans up against it instead of floating when using pedals. Makes driving much more comfortable. I'd support their products.

What is that red ring ?

Etsy 3D printed ring. They sell them in sets of different colors. Came with one for lights, trailmode/4x4 toggle, volume, and tune. Helps see them at night and matches the red Tremor flare on the outside.

I reached back out after posting this yesterday, and the response today was that there’s not enough interest from the Ranger community to peruse it.

Guess I’ll be building my own after all. Looking at the F-150 version, doesn’t seem that hard to figure out an alternative that could work.
