I’m not sure if this is a correct oil level or if it is on the low side? To me the oil level is a tad low but I’m not certain.

I am used to the oil level on my Ranger being just slightly below the second hole on the dip stick which I know is Max full and should be just at the top of the hash marks.

It has been this level on my dipstick since I recently had the oil changed at the dealer less that 1,000 miles ago.

This reading is taken after the truck is fully warmed up then parked in a level garage and sat for 10 minutes like the manual says.

To me the oil on the hash marks is a bit thin and not as thick as the beginning of the dip stick.

What do you guys think?

What they said above. I am perfectly happy with that level.

I fill my oil to the top hole. My manual said 6.2 qts, which is with filter change, I presume.
