Hey everyone,

Was wondering if anyone has experience with the Ironman 4x4 Pro Forged Upper control arms for the 2019+ Ford ranger.

I know that the UCAs have been made to work with either the aluminum or cast iron spindle, but not both at the same time due to different tapered tips and angles (or something like that). I recently purchased these Ironman 4x4 UCAs on sale before I knew of the two different options. When I inquired to them directly about which of the two spindle offerings their UCA were compatible with, they merely responded "intended for use on the North American versions".

While a lackluster, if not downright unacceptable response to my very pointed question, I'm not sure how much further I'll get with them given how quickly they breezed over the point of my question.

Any help from everyone here would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

I can't speak for the control arms right off, but to my understanding Ironman 4x4 is one of the good Australian brands to get. The shocks and springs to start are close to the Nitrochargers from Old Man EMU.

While I cant speak to the ranger UCA’s, I had the Complete kit on my old Tundra, it was pretty nice stuff and handled every hunt camp and backroad I could throw at it. They are an Aussie based company and the Ranger is very popular over there so Id imagine they will bring products here for the ranger soon.

Thanks for the responses @Bravohook and @Frenchy. I reached back out to the company seeking clarification.

We'll see what they say. Hoping to not be out $600 on UCAs that are useless to me.

Ironman 4x4 was much quicker to respond this time (via email) and their response was the following:

"It is my understanding our UCAs will fit either the Cast iron/Steel or the Aluminum.
I am advised the ball joint shafts are the same."

They did state if I have any issues to reach back out for further resolution.

Hasn't it been determined that the ball joint shaft is not the same?
