Anybody have these on their Ranger? If so, thoughts on the install and photos would be appreciated. TIA!

Post a link if you have one my friend. I'm not sure what those are.

Ummm, Good point Jack. I didn't think of that.
I mean if the truck doesn't see anything beyond asphalt or gravel trails I suspect they would be fine, but anything where you drive over rocks, crevices, bushes, through tight tree lines with small trunks or branches that would be a hard negative on that design.

I can imagine a small tree trunk or branch getting snagged and then proceeded to whip and run along your paint as you basically rip it from the earth like a scab from skin.

 As a side benefit... if they made these for Ridgelines... the owner could hang their purse on the step to free up their hands.

mirror the front and box it off on the steps and you got something. Otherwise I second your comment. They’re big fish hooks

Any protruding step is a bad design if they are intended as sliders...

A quick look on Google at "Iron Cross Truck Accessories" it is clear this is a bro-truck company. aka its for show trucks and coal rollers, not for anyone doing any moderate or heavier off-roading.

Basically the same category as Tyger products.

Installation is very straight forward. I am very happy with the quality. They work great.

They had previously advertised the design is modeled after Air Force fighter jets.

As a dad with a son currently serving in the military, the side steps are a nice reminder of his service each time I get in and out of the truck.

First just let me say thank you for answering my original post after the flurry of idiotic comments that preceded it. As a vet and a pilot, I'll also be thinking of that design concept when I get in and out of my truck because after seeing your install I am decided.

The only real issue with these is indeed the 'snag potential'. I personally don't see it as all of my off-roading is beach and desert. I can't imagine how fast "IN REVERSE" some of these clowns would be going to snag a branch and cause paint damage. If you are that close to branches you are getting scratches anyway, although with these in forward drive you have a side rail protective factor.
