So my brother in law gave me a 2 year old rollnlock cover from his 2020 Colorado. We premeasured, and bed width was the same but his was 1 foot longer than my ranger, 5'1". So after some head knocking I tackled the install yesterday. 4 hours later, done.
So here's the issues I had to deal with. The rails have to be cut back 12.5", cut the front end as the rear end has latch hooks. The rail clamps easily move back about 1 foot each.so after figuring all that out it works. But... the rear rails sag under the weight when you pull the cover back, making the latches misalligned. I'm going to fabricate some small "L" brackets to lift the rail ends about 1/4". After that, it should be good to go.
Now I posted all this because I couldn't find this information anywhere on the web. So now we all know that if the width matches, the length can be dealt with.
