As the title states, my dad gave me his old Gator soft folding cover, but reused the bulkhead seal from it so I need to either find one or make one. Gator says they don't offer the part separate, so any advice or DIY ideas would be awesome!

They have seals/gasket type material, but most of the tonneau covers I see have an actual adapter that the seal sits on that bolts to the bed.
I installed a gator a few weeks back. There is no bolt on rail or anything, just a foam seal. It's about an inch thick. I'd have to take the cover off to get a picture, so can't do that right now, but post anything you find and I'll give you my opinion. I'll also poke around for something when I have time.

Added: This is where I talked about it. I was in a hurry so didn't get picks of the bulkhead seal, but if you look in post #4 in the thread below you'll see that that from the bulkhead to the bed rails if roughly 1/2 inch. You need more foam than that so there is something to compress when you clamp the top down and make the seal.

RetraxPRO XR covers used to have a metal rail adapter. Newer production uses a tall dense foam seal held on with 3M tape. Works well.

Contact Retrax. They may sell the seal separately.

Yep, that's the ticket. It's got a bit of a funky shape, and there is a similar seal on the cover that mates with the bulkhead seal, and the bulkhead seal is sort of lower on the side toward the cab, so water runs off the cover and not back into the box.
