As I have been searching the different threads one thing that I have noticed is there can be some additional fun installing the tonneau cover with the factory drop in bed liner.

I'm looking at the Truxedo Pro x15 or a Gator roll up - How much modification was required to install either one of these. Also, how dry does it keep the inside.

thank you

I just pulled the trigger on the Truxsport version - hoping it gets here before I have to go back to work

I liked the low profile too. My son has one on his F150 Lariat. $$$ But the truck and all the other stuff I bought was draining the bank account. And Christmas was in two weeks!

I went with the Truxsport - there lower level item (great reviews here) vs the lo pro or the x15 pro - I found my best price on Amazon at $287 (and all the others) and it will be delivered Thursday and depending what time I might have it in Thursday. Will post once I get it installed.

I bought this one and the RuggedLiner drop in. The seals for the tonneau go in BEFORE the drop in liner and two 1" holes have to be drilled in the liner to attach the tonneau. I recommend the cover as an economical alternative but not the RuggedLiner. It's just TOO economical if you catch my drift. https://accessories.ford.com/catalog/product/view/id/12193/s/cover-tonneau/category/3115/
Thank you for the insight - Also, stage3 and RealTruck have some good install videos - I'm planning to pull out my free bed liner during install and then reinstall based on the real truck video of installing the X15

I went with the Truxedo LoPro and I have a 6ft bed. It took a lot of engineering to stop leaking in the front corners. Next I'll be putting on the weather seals for the tailgate which I feel is a must if you go with a soft cover.
It's a really nice looking cover though. Fits very good. Just needs a little rigging to get it right.

Edit: Tailgate seals installed. I picked the Extang brand. And after a full day sitting out in the rain, front is dry, and rear is 98% dry. Good enough for government work.

Cover instructions were pretty easy. And the 'drop-in liner' just,, well, dropped in.

So I installed the TruxSport today - I had the cover manufactured after September where there is no bulk head bar to install. But hey I pulled out the dealer installed bed liner and I'm happy I did there where leaves and all types of crap under there. Then I read the right instructions that showed I did not need to do that. I did not take the chance to properly install the weather seals that LoneRanger shows :) opps but hey I didn't swear to much (had my 10 year old helping). The install took about an hour - takes time to line it up and figure out things. I have some gaps that I will need to fill in - but I'm not as much about waterproof - just a cover to keep things in the back when we run out as a family to Costco etc... I have 3 kids and usually have at least one with me. Love the look of the cover also. I wanted to also show off my eldest sons awesome creativity - he designed our family logo

I drove mine in the rain on I-75 Friday and didn't get a drop inside the liner. BTW, the Truxsport looks identical to the Ford cover I installed. My 2010 Ranger had a TruXsport with the Ford logo near the tailgate.
