I will be showing up on your door step...my sister's about to move into her new home in Scottsdale...:p
Awesome.... let me know when you're going out to see her. Hopefully sometime next year I'll have my Bronco and we can go wheeling in that and do some shooting out in the desert. :p

This is an online forum. You will see EVERY possible problem with 2019-2021 Rangers discussed here both real and imagined. Reading this forum you might be thinking "these Rangers have tons of problems" but that is actually not the case at all. I am 2 months and 2400 miles into ownership and am having 0 issues of ANY kind with my truck. That's not to say I will never have any issues but so far its the most perfect and best vehicle I have EVER owned in my life. I have made some adjustments to my truck which you can look back on my posts and see but these were not necessary, I'm just can't leave anything alone. If you are on the fence about getting a Ranger just go drive one and experience it for yourself.
I totally agree. I am approaching my second summer in my 2019 Lariat, meaning c. two years and 10,000 miles (working from home during pandemic) without a single mechanical issue or malfunction. I've done mods to improve this-or-that feature, but these are, as you say, "adjustments," meaning improvements based on my personal reactions or preferences, not problems in a mechanical sense.

If you notice tho most have same problems. Gas in oil , rust under neath wind noise behind driver side coking of the valves . You have to keep in mind the life span of this truck will be as long as its siblings not for ever .

Very happy with our 2019 XLT. Had trouble with takeoff shudder and failed rear end bearing early on, but the dealership was very responsive and helpful in tracking down and fixing the problem. We've had none of the other issues that some have reported. Great truck.

Only problem I've had in 1 year was the cold start / slow start with a shudder which eventually came under a TSB. They flashed the system and it corrected it. Then I eventually got a tune which just out right fixed the sluggish factory shifting anyhow.

I will say be prepared for the stock shifting maps to "gear hunt" on any sort of roads with hills. Also the factory throttle response was severely lacking (typical of fly by wire throttle). Again a tune remedied this.
Sir, you are definitely someone who's input i need , my only issue with my Ranger is the Trans delay in reacting to my foot , especially in traffic jams.
It's like my Trans is so confused , it frustrates me, great truck otherwise , so what did you ask for when getting the Tune , and what kind of service center did you take it to.
My Ford dealer said that's normal, no surprise .

I 100% agree with this post. I caught myself bitching about some of the electronics with another user on the subreddit a week ago and felt kinda bad about it afterwards. Yes, the car is not a BMW or some other fancy German car I drove before with perfect electronics, smooth handling but guess what: It's a damn truck! I wanted a truck and what I got is in my opinion the best mix between offroad and road trip capabilities.

I bought my Ranger not even a year ago and have already put over 40000km (roughly 25000 miles) on it and the percentage of frustration is maybe 5%. Yes, the automatic cruise control can be pretty harsh, android auto makes me want to throw my phone out the window and for some reason the car makes this weird droning noise at 1500rpm when I have load on the bed.
Having to put Adblue in it is annoying, I wish the turbo spool was louder and I don't need my car to honk at me when I close the door with the engine running.

But have I gotten stuck in the dirt with it? I've tried, but no. Have i ever got back pain after 9h of Autobahn? No! I love this car, I love seeing other Ranger drivers on the road and exchanging a smile or a wave. So far I've only received compliments, no one ever said "Dude, a Ranger? Seriously?".

I love this car and I can't wait to put some more ridiculous stuff on it once the warranty voids.

Adam; you are spot-on and I echo your sentiments!

I have had my truck nearly 2 years and I've NEVER even been back to the dealer! Like you, I've done some mods, tweaks and adjustments. (I've posted some of them)

I have used this forum and wealth of POSITIVE information to compliment the ownership of a most EXCELLENT vehicle! Sure the Ranger is not perfect, but nothing is, right?

It's like if you listen to the current main-stream-media.... you'd think the United States is the most uncivil, ignorant and racist country on the planet.

For those who might think that.... first go visit ANY other country in the World and compare. If you'd rather live there.... then MOVE, don't complain.

The USA is not perfect, but it is the GREATEST Country on Earth in my humble opinion!
"Love Her or leave Her".

Same with owning a Ranger.... if you don't like it, just sell it and get something else.

Life is simply too short to focus on the negative.... Focus on the POSITIVE!
Cheers!

Demons take up residence in every BMW at 75k miles - and they are never the same....

Well I definitely got a clunker first of all I need a technician knows what he’s doing and understands the TSB it’s stated on the left rear of the Ranger to take the quarter inch plate out already to tensioner leaf which they did not I try to get it out and it will not budge it’s like welded into there for some reason so I’m thinking that’s why they didn’t replace or take it out to put the wedge gym in there which is a big issue with my truck at the moment not to mention the airflow on the passenger side door I cannot get it to quiet down I don’t know what the deal is over there

Either it has a bad body design there or door seals need to be fatter maybe I’ve tried sticking some Thermo king seal door in there which it will come back out but no prevail I still have airflow and I am deaf in one ear and I can hear it plain as day anybody got any suggestions I really don’t want to take the truck back to the dealer cause I might drive to the great Bear Glasspro to show room for the way they did me and my wife
Holy moly, not one punctuation, not one. My OCD is in overdrive

I have a 2020 Ranger and am coming up to 23,000 kms (13,800 miles for my friends south of the border) and zero issues. I pull a travel trailer which runs about 5500 lbs. with all my gear in it and you hardly know the trailer is behind you. As a previous F150 owner, I can say this truck is as good a workhorse as the F150 but way better to get around in due to the size. Better fuel mileage never hurt either. Needless to say - I love this truck and would recommend it to anyone who needs a truck but not a beast.
