My dad is a "vicarious" member here, as in he will get all this wonderful information second hand from me He's 76 in May, and got a Hot Pepper Red 4x4 so he can go camping and river tubing

When I went to the Ranger Drive Event In November, I saw a good number of fellow older folks in the test drive line. I realized then why, after nearly 45 years of driving, I wanted a Ranger. 1. The height - I want to be able to see down the road from a higher vantage point and I need to be able to get in and out of my ride easily. Too low and I struggle to stand up, too high and I’m grunting to get in. 2. All the safety features - blind spot monitoring is a must have. Parking sensors are the best thing since sliced bread. Lane keeping and lane departure warning are brilliant gadgets. Back up cam, cross traffic, and emergency braking are aids that make me feel safer and more comfortable driving. 3. The size - Small enough to be nimble, big enough for my Home Depot runs and to haul my mountain bike around and at 6’3 & 200lbs, I fit in the driver’s seat comfortably. 4. The upgraded interior stands up against luxury SUVs and cars. 5. The cool factor - I may be older, but I still like to roll in a sick whip. Ford punched my ticket big time.
