James,
Yep, this key starts the truck and is a substitute for the original Ranger key except you have to unlock and lock the doors with it manually rather than using the unlock and lock buttons on the Ranger Fob. Don't have the part # but called the key guy and left a message for him to call me back with it. So will forward it to you if he responds.
Cool!

I thought you needed a guy on the inside to get those laser cut keys? They're sent directly to the US from Hamburg. Need a guy like James Lakewood. Served a nickel at Folsom for auto insurance fraud.

And even then the Mercedes were dirty! Had surveillance vans all over them.
James Lakewood was dirty. They got to em. Maybe it's time for us to start thinking about how to get these young kids out of town...cause if there's no Ford Rangers, there's no point in boosting any other cars.

You can start the truck with that little key? Pretty cool, do you have part#?
The key guy said that the part # is: 5923293 and your Ford Dealer or any key maker should be able to pull is up but they also may need to get a copy of the pic I posted to help identify it because of the numerous key blanks that are out there. Hope this helps!

PS: Just found it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Strattec-Transponder-Ignition-128-Bit-164-R8128/dp/B07FW6TH13

Mine is a 2020 but according to the key guy It should also work on your 2021.
That is a super cool option. One last question, I assume it doesn't require a battery, correct? This would be great for when Ford Pass doesn't get reception, my door keypad dies or gets ripped off, spare key fob is at home. I might put this in a magnetic holder on the chassis somewhere.

Right, no battery required. This is a perfect option for a spare key. I keep one of the original Ranger flip-keys at home too and keep this spare one on me in case I lose the other original on the road. The case can be unattached to the key ring if needed. Also have smart tags on each key ring so I can locate the key rings or the phone if either get lost. Losing a key without a spare would be stressful and expensive even in the city but especially on a trip... :frown:
