What do I need to do to get these tires more in line with stock offset? Almost 3" further out. Not what I want.

somewhere on here someone has chronicled what it takes to fit a 285 regarding offset. Somewhere. Probably multiple places idk. I had no desire to go that wide so I didn't read into it.

Just going by the numbers listed though, and considering a 265 barely clears the spindle @+55 .. a 1/2" wheel spacer would allow them to fit with stock wheels, and make the new location of the outer sidewall a touch over 1" further out.

That sounds perfect. I think I gotta live with a little poke going wider. Thx

I got an idea!!!! Like a I have mentioned to others get the OZ Rally Raid wheels!!! The offset is a +44 wich is roughly 1/4 inch out from stock and will allow you to run that size with no major problems. Of course you will need to do a lift or level but other than that no major things need to be done.

You can run 285/70/17 Toyo OC AT2 on factory 17 x 8.5" wheels with just a 2.5" level with no other modifications. Mine came from the dealership in this configuration.

All tires use the same markings, however the reality is they are not all the same size even if their labels are the same. aka Not all 285/70/17's are the same perfect diameter if you use an actual physical measuring device.

Lift and level are done.? I'm trying to get away from the spoked, bicycle tire look.

Well thankfully the rally raid won't give you the spokes bicycle wheel because it's not 20 inch wheels

Still don't like the look of any spoked wheels. I know it's all the rage, but not with me.
