I got a VIN number and build date!

I have ordered many from local Ford and they usually take about 5-7 days from build date to arrive at my dealer in S Texas. They go rail to San Antonio and transport truck to dealer.

Thanks for that info. I’ll have to be patient I guess.

I emailed my dealer yesterday 11/3 requesting a change to my order. Got an email back same day telling me my order is locked and Ford won't accept the change. No other information in the email. My order went in on 8/25.

What were you trying to change? Your order being unchangeable must mean you have a build date in January.

Last 5 digits of the VIN number is the production number.

My understanding is that my truck is a custom order not dealer stock order.

My understanding is that each dealer is allocated a certain # for stock initially. These should be the 1st to arrive. Retail units (special orders) won't start being scheduled until later.

Mine’s coming later than dealer stock, so it must be a retail order. The terminalogy is confusing.

At the top of the order form it will say either Stock or Retail.

I have my VIN. Order was placed 8/14 and last digits are 01652 so I appear to be early in the queue.

I can't get the VIN to pull up on the website so we tried other VIN's as well and none of them are working. Is the website working for you guys that have pulled them in the past? Or am I just super computer illiterate?

I believe it is a stock order... could that make a difference?
