Left signal indicator hyper flashing, checked and found left rear signal light always on. Search didn't turn up anything similar.

You probably checked this, burned out / missing front signal bulb?

I just had a similar experience .My right signal had hyperflash on my instrument panel but front and rear signal lights worked normally.I do have led rear tails.Turned out to be defective rear tail light even though it worked normally.Replaced under warranty $1100

you might try , cycling Hazzard switch and see if that resolves issue, or disconnect rear lamp connector and reseat it, or even though its working - check and or replace front bulb, might have a weak filament - and if you have the mirror lights check that as well.
If you hook up Forscan you should see a (B) Body fault code, this will help in pinpointing issue.
With the code you can then dig deeper with a Fluke Meter and check voltage readings at connector to confirm if the Rear Lamp assembly is internally faulted (shorted to ground)

Have you added anything to the electrical circuit?

This is usually the indicator of a bad ground connection.

Signal remains solid because something with the signals ground has gone awry and its going to the next available ground connection, which is usually the running lamps circuit

I had this happen to me less than a year ago completely by my own fault due to a ground connector that had come lose. Easily resolved.

Thanks guys, cycled the hazard switch and it seems to be working now. Don't know if it is fixed but it's working now.

Only thing added was a trailer brake controller last year.
