Thank you!

Yes, RokBlokz, XL. (Black with black logo) So glad I got them a few weeks ago on a whim; swore I wasn't going to amass a pile of parts before taking delivery, but for some reason decided to jump on them. Turns out that was a lucky move, as I heard there's quite a wait for black flaps now apparently.

Hang in there, it sucks waiting, but it does eventually arrive!! ?
Your welcome. Yeah i got hit with the 4-6 week notice when i ordered my flaps.Pile of parts here just waiting on the truck.Plugs, weather beater mats, engine cover, console tray, shorty antenna.

Glad your happy with it,i bet you get up in the morning like a kid at Christmas.Im sure i will think of something to ask about it in the next day or so.

Re: 'kid at christmas'. LOL, You have no idea. Today was an awesome day, weather wise. But evening was too busy to do much more than the rear flaps and the DeeZee part.

I have an AWE exhaust sitting here eagerly waiting to be installed....? but temps drop to freezing again tonight and hang there for.... probably like 5 days. ?

Aw man now i am even more interested.I am watching this thread for sure, very curious how the exhaust sounds and looks.

Curious if you will keep the side steps on or not.Pretty sure day one i will be removing the steps as they rub my legs on the one i test drove when i got out.

My plan was to pull the steps, but leave the bar. I'm going to take a peek in the morning daylight and maybe pull one step, just to see how it looks underneath with the holes. If the bar is useable as a step, I'll add traction tape over it. If it's tucked too far under the rocker, I may just delete the whole bar/step combo and sell it for a few bucks and be done with it.

Yeah i dont think there will be any room for you to step on the bar with the steps removed. I will delete the steps and bar, probably put it in the garage and when i sell or trade it in for a 24-25 Raptor i can put them back on and they will look new

At the dealership finally. (Work conflicts and getting trade/financing paperwork done ahead of time)

The passing of the torch; little bittersweet as the Tundra has been really great to me. But time for something new.

Will update with some more details when I get home in a few hours.
It’s gorgeous! Congrats!!!

Ok, back home now.

Sorry, this is long, but for anyone curious, or following along....

I ordered and purchased from Chapman Ford of Horsham, PA.

I solidly recommend them as a reputable dealer. I first got involved with them as part of the Bronco reservation stuff, and then as I changed gears near the end of last year and decided to get a Ranger, placed my order with them after a truly solid offer was quoted. (4% below invoice!!) The order was placed promptly, and Ford picked it up and scheduled in an amazingly fast time frame. (likely due to my configuration... apologies to the SuperCab guys....) Dealer contacted me the day it was delivered (Thursday last week) and we worked quickly to get all the trade and financing details sorted through almost constant communication Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday, so I could make it a single trip event to trade in the old and pick up the new. They hit my requested target pick up date, (Tuesday) but I ended up having a work meeting I couldn't' dodge so rescheduled for this morning. (Wednesday) To me, that is very prompt, attentive service; something you don't see often anymore.

While they have suspended taking new retail orders at this time, they are looking to hopefully start up again in April. My sales associate could not tell exactly what pricing will be offered at that time (can't blame them) but he said if you are 'in the area' and are interested in ordering, they would absolutely work with you the best they could. I figure for any of the people within 3 hours driving of Philadelphia, if your local dealer is insisting on MSRP, this may be something worth investigating for you. Give them a call, get on their retail order waiting list so you have a shot at possibly better pricing if you're not in a super rush.

Now, on to my new toy..... ?

Inspection went well, no misaligned body panels or anything atrocious. (built on a Friday... but not at 5pm apparently... LOL) Got Fordpass linked right away, so I should hopefully get my points quickly.

Explained to the sales associate (Matthew Hille) that I planned to install the front mudflaps I had brought before I even left, due to the reputation of the tires throwing lots of rocks and scratching paint. He did not mind at all. (I did it right out front of the dealership, right where it was parked in the pic above...) I was half expecting them to ask me to at least pull it around the side of the building, but they were cool with it all I guess. So very easy going sales team, which I appreciate much. Took me about 12 minutes for the first side, and then less than 10 for the other once I had a better idea how it went together.

I also installed the rubber plugs for the rocker panel holes. So glad I brought them along, as there was road water still from the rains last night. I can't remember where I read about them on here, but a sincere thank you to whoever it was... still cannot believe Ford deleted them... $3 in rubber plugs that protect the rockers from water accumulation rust... deleted in the name of cost savings... unbelievable... ( Rubber Rocker Plugs on Amazon )

Speaking of cost savings.... just read something about it last night?... Yes, I can confirm my LARIAT TREMOR did not include an engine cover, or engine hood gas struts. (Only a prop rod now..... boooo) I am surprised about the engine cover, but not the struts. What is hilarious is the ball studs for the struts are actually still installed! So I guess I'll just go buy a set of struts at some point and install them myself. Will wait on the cover for now... if mine throws the code, maybe I'll get one for free.

Heated seats, power fold mirrors are all there, as spec'd in my window sticker. Being a Lariat with the 501 group, I'd be super pissed if they had deleted those.... I don't know how the XLT folks will fare with the heated seat or power fold thing... But at least for Lariat 501 group, if its on your sticker, it's still there... for now at least.

Gave the truck some good break in driving on the way home. Let the engine warm up in the last few minutes before I departed the dealership lot, then did some soft acceleration pulls up through 45 mph on local roads, with some good brake pad bedding mixed in, before jumping on the turnpike to head home. Two solid hours of highway gave me lots of room and time to do acceleration pulls from 50mph to.... a lot higher. ? The engine and trans pull really well... I've read so many times about people happy with the power output, but I gotta say after experiencing it first hand, I had to consciously stop using the gas otherwise I was easily going over the limit at times... LOL I'm not sure I even want to bother putting premium in at this point... unless I'm really heavily loaded down, regular grade will be more than adequate.

Got home, finished installing the rear mud flaps, and the other thing that arrived in the mail today. (made by DeeZee.... you all can take guesses, but you'll only need one. LOLOL) Took the kids out for their haircut, and back home again a little bit ago, and here we are now.

So, assuming you're not tired of reading my random thoughts, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me anything. ?

Yeah, I had no idea, only stumbled upon the thread a few days ago. Wish I could give credit to the person that mentioned it.

You need TWO of those packs I linked. One pack covers each side.

Downside is they aren't going to be painted like they were when installed by Ford prior to body paint. But at least the holes will be relatively sealed from water intrusion.

So, wow, It is cold outside. But I was fueled by anxious anticipation and excitement. ? So I barely felt it. Lol. (And can barely feel my fingers too. ?)

AWE 0fg cat back install in 24 degree weather. ?

Sounds amazing! I’m lovin’ it and haven’t even gone for a drive yet.

Thanks!

I'm going to try and get a good cold start audio startup clip tomorrow and post it here. Lots of the clips posted I've watched weren't actually representative of what it REALLY sounds like. (it sounds better than a lot of the clips I've watched)

In person, the rumble on start is actually a touch deeper than I've heard on the clips. ? ? ?
Once the engine drops out of open loop, it settles down a little, but still has nice tone.

Props to member PaulJ for selling me this like new exhaust!!

Ok I think this may represent the sound better than a few other vids I watched while exhaust shopping...

Best if listened to with something with strong bass capability as many of the tones are low frequency. (Surprised the heck out of me for a four cylinder exhaust!) Normal cell phone speakers probably won't get low enough, but decent ear buds should.

I started it up at about 1 foot away, then moved back to about 5 feet away, and then finally around 8-9 feet away. You can hear the change as more engine noise takes over relative to the purely exhaust note at the startup.

If you're a fan of exhaust note, then you will like/love this exhaust for sure. 'Too Loud' is entirely subjective, but I've heard plenty way louder than this. (straight pipe level loud) On a scale from 1 - 10, with one being factory silent and 10 being straight pipe, I'd say this is around a 6 at most, and only on open loop cold startup. (Drops down to below a 5 once warmed up)

Sounds as good as it looks. How does it sound being revved up in higher rpm range?

I’ll try to get that clip tomorrow; had a bit too much going on today to get that done. (Need to recruit wife unit to hold phone to do it proper.)
