So I got a set of tyger star amor running boards on FB marketplace for $150.

I like the look except the stars and logo.
I bought 4 inch wide outdoor grip tape. Problem solved.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Added strips of this to my RV steps as they get slippery when wet, works great and has been on for 6 years so far.

Good job. Now you can forever hide your secret embarrassment of owning a Tyger product.

You could do a more permanent solution by JB welding some cuts of 1/8 steel plate there and spray on truck bed liner. lol
OOOOH...I have a set of the Tyger boards on my truck. Just what my wife needed to get in and out of the truck without straining much (vertically challenged, as many of y'all's wives are). I"m not embarrassed by mine.
Should I be and just don't know it?

Nope not one bit. I think they are made well I'm just not a fan of the logo and stars. I have a Tyger bull bar on the front I'll be working on a way to cover the same stuff upfront.

material construction? No.

The design that came up because the president's 8 year old was at "bring your kid to work day"? Yes!

PS: I'm just poking fun.

Hi Jesse,

I laid this stuff down on my garage floor as the code requires a step up from the garage floor to the house. A trip hazzard, so I put 25 ft of this stuff down, 4" wide, and it has been there for 17 years without a problem.

Best,
Phil
