How to knock some ugly off Tyger star amor running boards.

So I got a set of tyger star amor running boards on FB marketplace for $150.

I like the look except the stars and logo.
I bought 4 inch wide outdoor grip tape. Problem solved.

Great work! I agree, it looks a lot better. Even if it comes off in time, you can just replace it. Not bad for $150.

You could do a more permanent solution by JB welding some cuts of 1/8 steel plate there and spray on truck bed liner. lol

I used this on some rubber pads that kept coming off a motorcycle lift and they have stayed put for several years now . It also worked well to reattach the door sill plates on my F-150 . Stays flexible and holds great .

Added strips of this to my RV steps as they get slippery when wet, works great and has been on for 6 years so far.

OOOOH...I have a set of the Tyger boards on my truck. Just what my wife needed to get in and out of the truck without straining much (vertically challenged, as many of y'all's wives are). I"m not embarrassed by mine.

Nope not one bit. I think they are made well I'm just not a fan of the logo and stars. I have a Tyger bull bar on the front I'll be working on a way to cover the same stuff upfront.

Hi Jesse,

I laid this stuff down on my garage floor as the code requires a step up from the garage floor to the house. A trip hazzard, so I put 25 ft of this stuff down, 4" wide, and it has been there for 17 years without a problem.
