As of this July, Dad will have been retired from Tyson 4 years.
He ain't bored, he enjoys it.
I just had my 1 year anniversary (MAN, that went FAST!!!) - I haven't been bored for even one day - my list of projects hasn't gotten any shorter either - I've been LOVING retirement!

My wife would know I had just left Costco and the aroma of the rotisserie chicken was irresistible. I do it all the time since they switched to easy open plastic zipper bags. I had better be careful from now on and pull over.

I have a box of plastic throw away forks in the console for times like that 😋. Plus it gives about the same results as 303, wipes right off the artificial leather leaving a dull shine with aroma for days 😉. Could actually be what 303 is made of 🤔.

Y'know... one day someone will invent "Tatt-Blocker" glasses that you activate and cancels out the tattoos from your view. You'd be more able to carry on a conversation or order a burger without being so distracted you forget why you are there.

As far as the person in the pic goes, "Steve" may be wearing face painting; he has no piercings or devil's horn implants to go with the uh, artwork. on the other hand, Steve appears to be wearing a county-issued jump suit, so maybe he is a chronic bad decision maker.

I saw many articles and videos on those chickens sold in plastic bags and they're not good for you 'cuz of the microplastics. But really, what is now a days so take it with a grain of salt but just passing this on.

The Dangers of Plastic and Heat Exposure:

A December 2024 study published in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safetyfound that frequent plastic exposure may increase the risk of heart disease. Animal research also suggests that even brief contact between hot food and plastic can harm heart tissue and gut bacteria.

She explained: "Rotisserie chicken is especially problematic because heat speeds up the leaching process. Plus, the chicken remains in contact with plastic for an extended period. The fats or acids in the oily chicken skin and marinades can further increase the migration of plasticizers and other chemicals."

Taariq-Sidibe warns that rotisserie chicken containers are often made from the following plastics, which can release chemicals when exposed to heat or fatty foods
  1. Polypropylene (PP) – "Used in food containers due to its durability and heat resistance. It may contain antioxidants, plasticizers, and stabilizers."
  2. Polystyrene (PS) – "Found in some fast-food and takeout containers. Made from styrene, which is classified as a possible human carcinogen."
  3. Polyethylene (PE) – "A common plastic in food packaging that may contain UV stabilizers or antioxidants, which can leach into food, especially when heated. It may also release endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs)."
  4. BPA (Bisphenol A) – "Often found in low-quality plastic containers. BPA is a known endocrine disrupter linked to hormonal imbalances and other health risks."

How about a "people Blocker" set of glasses:question:

After being in Sedona for the last 2 days and seeing all the nasty people walking around (tattoos, obese, pink/purple hair and ear stretchers) I'd like to block them all out, even for just one day.

The Costco chicken bags have been through many tests trying to prove this before implementing. Same result each time with no contamination. They spent years developing that bag. Even if it's bad for you, I think smoking 2 packs a day for over 30 years was far worse for my body or even getting a mouthful of leaded gas often when stealing gas with a siphon hose during the poorer days. According to California, 303 fumes are also hazardous to your health 😬.

I'll counter the microplastic fear mongering with this:
Scientists shocked to find lab gloves may be skewing microplastics data | ScienceDaily

Scientists shocked to find lab gloves may be skewing microplastics data
Date: March 29, 2026
Source: University of Michigan
Summary: Scientists may have been unknowingly inflating microplastics pollution estimates, and the surprising source could be their own lab gloves. A University of Michigan study found that common nitrile and latex gloves release tiny particles called stearates, which closely resemble microplastics and can contaminate samples during testing. In some cases, this led to wildly exaggerated results, forcing researchers to track down the unexpected culprit.

While I'm sure it can skew some data I don't buy it that it's the main culprit of finding microplastics in their research. I'm done trusting those who say "follow the science!

I mean it's kind of common sense that putting hot food into a cheap plastic bag isn't that good of an idea. Not to mention using plastic utensils to cook hot food or plastic cutting boards to cut your food on is all that bright either. Just look at all the cut marks on the plastic cutting board and guess where all that plastic is going....Into your food! We replaced all our plastic years ago with glass containers, these teak utensils and bamboo cutting boards. You can't shield yourself from everything but you sure can limit the crap they're selling that's poisoning you.
