It's just part of the daily grind for everyone.

A long time ago I had a job where I worked four 10 hour days and had a 3 day weekend every weekend. It was great.

It all comes down to the premise that nobody on their death bed ever said "Gee, I wish I'd spent more time at the office..."

Except for Engineers. They seem to love being at the office.

The best shift I worked was 12 hours days, 3 days one week, 4 days the next. But that was years ago when companies still paid OT after 8 hours a day, instead of after 40 hours a week.
