I had just signed the papers to close on my house an I was still in the condo an the air wouldn't kick off. I put my hand up an it was room temp, not heated or cooled. The thermostat was blank. Replaced it an the same thing. Called the HVAC guy an just like I read on line: when it fails the internal breaker kicks an disables the heat an air. The heat exchanger was shot. He reset it so I had air until he replaced it. I had to put $5200 into a place I was getting ready to list. I was not happy. I'm pretty sure I got the 5 grand back when I sold it today since I got 5K more than I orig planned to list it for.
