Realize the OP isn't looking for AT's but, just to add to the forum's overall tire experience discussion..

Back when I had my POS (Frontier NISMO), OEM tires (BFG Trail Terrains) were shot at 35K. Think I finally pulled them off right before 40K. Just couldn't chance it anymore. Ran them longer than I ever would have on my wife's car. They were toast. I typically get high mileage out of tires. So when I don't it pisses me off.

I then went to BFG AT's. Loved them! Easily got 65K+ out of those.

Next set I went with GY Wrangler Duratracs. Loved them even more. Especially in the snow. When I finally traded in the POS on the ST, the Duratracs had about 75K+ on them and had plenty of life left. Even got a few more dollars on the trade due to "good tires." If that trade in specialist only knew. :giggle:

I'd have to dig up my old POS maintenance sheet for the exact miles but my memory based guesstimates are close.

When the day comes and I need new tires I'll be looking at the Duratracs very closely. And of course the BFG's. Or depending on how the Generals do I may well go right back with the same.

And yes, for those of you doing the math, the POS had just over 183K miles (in about 7 1/2 years) on it when I unloaded it. But it cost me a lot of headache and a lot of $$$$ to get it to that point. Obviously I was driving a lot of highway miles at that time of my life. So folks here probably won't get those miles out of a set. But the BFG and GY's performed wonderfully.

Glad I found this thread. I'm coming up on 27,000 miles on my original Duelers and they'll definitely need replaced by the end of summer. Like the OP, I mostly use the truck as a daily driver and for light hauling. My biggest gripe about the Duelers (other than quick wear) was how lousy they were on wet roads.

@mtsoxfan did you pull the trigger on a purchase yet? Or are you still assessing options/waiting for a sale?
