I have a 2020 Lariat Crew Cab. The other day, I had the opportunity to ride in the back seat and noticed there was very little sound coming out of the rear door speakers. When I am driving, the sound system sounds pretty good and I expected it to sound that way in the rear of the truck. Today, I folded the seat back down and could see the sub woofer and what looks like a speaker that is mounted in a large piece of plastic that looks like an air intake. I turned the radio on and adjusted the fade so all sound was sent to the rear. I got some pretty tinny sounding music coming out of the side of the rear doors, but nothing from the speaker behind the rear seat back. I put my hand on the subwoofer and it did not seem to being doing anything. I then adjusted the radio to full bass. I expected the woofer to at least thump a bit and vibrate, but nothing. Have any of you checked your sound system to see if it does any more than mine? I am beginning to think mine is not working correctly, but don't know enough about it. Thanks for any help.

Sounds (no pun intended) like you have a defect somewhere because mine (2019 Lariat) sounds awesome, front and rear...
Thanks. I think something is not right either. As soon as this virus stuff is done, I will make an appt to take it in.

And you adjusted the fader?
Yes, I adjusted the fader so that everything was sent to the rear. The speakers in both rear doors were working. However, I do not think they were not at full volume (kind of like the full sound was not being sent to them). The speaker in back of the rear seat (the one that looks like it is attached to a big piece of plastic...about in the center of the back seat) had nothing coming out of it. The sub woofer would only vibrate ever so slightly like it was not getting a signal even after I adjusted the bass to max output.
I wonder if there is a wiring harness that is not fully engaged? I didn't see anything obvious near the subwoofer, but maybe there is one somewhere else. It would be nice if one of you could set your radio to fade all the way to the rear and set the bass to max and then tell me what the woofer and the one speaker behind the back of the rear seat is doing. Mine do nothing. Once we get the ok that the virus is gone, I will make a trip to the local dealer to see what one on the lot sounds like.
Thanks to everyone.

Check to see if it’s set for optimized for driver or all, may have something to do with it

It’s in the sound settings somewhere, you select if you want to optimize sound for driver or all

Ok, I will have to check that out. I have been in the settings before, but never saw that option. Thanks!

I have no setting to optimize sound for driver on my Lariat Crew cab or at least I cannot find it.

I have no setting to optimize sound for driver on my Lariat Crew cab or at least I cannot find it.
It is located in Settings -> Sound -> Occupancy Mode (at the bottom).
I always have it set to driver since I usually have no passengers. It actually makes a big difference.

Mine does not have that option. When I go to Settings->Sound-> the only option at the bottom is "Stereo" or "Surround"

I have a 2019 SuperCrew Lariat with B&O. I do not have the Driver setting - only Surround or Stereo. My rear door speakers sound great and I have good sound from the sub-woofer. So, now you have another reference point.
