What makes you think it will leak through a high-pressure wash? Mine hasn't leaked at all and I take it through my neighborhood power wash (touch-free) all the time. ?‍♂
If you read the owners manual that came with your shell you would have seen that Leer does not recommend doing that because the slider windows are not designed for high pressure.
I'm not taking mine through a high pressure car wash but you can do what you want.

The Century manual didn't say that as I recall. I asked the dealer about this too and they said car washes are fine, but they advised against personal pressure washers at home.

This is a screen capture of the Leer owners manual. It specifically states:
"Do not subject the windows of your Leer cap to the direct force of high-pressure commercial car washes or pressure washers"

Like I said before, I really don't care what you do with your vehicle and cap, drive it underwater if you want.
But this does prove the manufacturer does recommend against commercial car washes because the sliders are liable to leak.

Leer and Century may be the same company (seriously), but their manual's are different. And FWIW my cap isn't leaking at all.

After the duct tape the dealer put on it is much improved. A small leak on each side after the car wash. It hasn’t rained sufficiently to check.

Unless it drastically changes after a rainstorm I’ll just live with it.

Out-of-the-box Thought:
man, I'd like to see what these magnetic gray toppers look like on my blue Ranger with the magnetic gray accents... i.e. the grill, fender trim, rims, etc.

I wouldn't take the risk of paying for something so expensive to take a chance on something so outside the box or out of the norm. It'd match, but it could be too much.

These were my thoughts regarding my Saber Ranger. I was worried there was going to be too much orange and it would look weird. So I thought maybe a magnetic topper to match the sport trim would work, same as you. But once I saw a Saber with a topper, I instantly thought it looked really good. Plus the only way to convince my wife to get a topper was if it was color matched. So here we are with a Saber topper and it looks great in my opinion! There are a handful of people on here with blue trucks and color matched toppers. Skim through this thread if you haven't already to get some ideas of what ones might look like.

SmartCap is supposed to be releasing their Ranger Cap in the US within a few months. $$$ though.
That's interesting.... not sure it's my style, but it's kinda kool. Thanks for sharing.

I purchased a Leer 100R last summer. Waited 4 weeks but I am on the East Coast of Canada. Only option I got was the carpeted headliner. Very happy so far!

If you’re willing, I’m curious to know how much you (and others) paid for the 100R. I just got a quote for $2,480 installed for the most basic options too. It seems steep to me but I’ve never bought a a topper before.

I bought a SnugTop because there was a dealer in town. I had an issue with the rear door latch but added a push on cap nut and it's good now. I haven't noticed any water in the bed after the rain. I added the thicker roof with Yakima struts and power door lock. The folding down rear window was a freebee at purchase. The door lock works with the Ranger locks. I can lock it with a key, the key fob, a door lock or Ford Pass.
I wanted a quality unit. SnugTop just happened to have a dealer in town. It could have easily been ARE or Leer.

I paid $1720 for my 100R. That included carpeted underside and a light. Non opening windows. Can’t remember what the other option choices were.

This is close to what my quote was for my 100R with a sliding (non-removable) rear window, standard sliding side windows, the manual latches on each side of the back glass, no interior liner, and the 12v outlets installed. However, I added the factory Thule rack and bars as well which bumped up the price a bit. More than I wanted to pay but I'm overall very happy. It took roughly 8.5 weeks to arrive as my dealer mentioned Leer was running behind at their factories, specifically the Elkhart, IN factory they own that supposedly produces their windows.

My local ARE dealer gave me a similar quote but for more options/accessories. I ended up going with that. It’s the V-Series. My lead time from Leer and ARE was 15-20 weeks. I got the OTR paint option too so it will be longer probably, but hey it’s ordered. I’ll post some pics of it here when it arrived.

My ARE CX Classic arrived yesterday. For those who are interested, it was exactly 5 months from order to delivery. Among other options, I ordered the windoors as I want access to the truck from the sides.
My DAC tent had already arrived a few weeks ago, so tomorrow is "practice putting the tent on the truck" day. My cot, mattress, storage totes, etc. are ready so I'm off next week for my first back-country trip.

Installed Canopy_1e.jpg
ov 4 last year and it arrived January 28 (so about 12 weeks).
