  1. Texas WTB - FX4 Front Tow Hooks and/or Skid Plate

Do you still have these tow hooks?
  2. Power locks for my DiamondBack

Thanks for sharing. Very useful mod. Not sure those of us who are mod-challenged could implement this, but those are exactly the features I'd like to have on the DB. It might be useful to document the steps and parts (actuator, bracket, HD) in order to follow your lead.
  3. Keep Drop in Liner or get Line-x/Bullet

The inventor of Line-X sold the company. He later invented a new formula and started a new business called Bullet. Not sure about comparing the two since the application depends on the dealership and not sure whether the Line-X formula was changed/improved. Some times a dealer will sweeten...
  4. Diamondback Covers

They have cab guard/headache racks that prevent load from busting the rear window. It looks like they'd obstruct the rear view when driving. I'm probably just being too picky, but wouldn't pay $1500 for the Ford rack on top of a $2000 cover...., but looking for options.
  5. Diamondback Covers

Thanks for the picture! It looks like, if I bolted the base to the top of the cover at the front of the cover, that there's an inch or may more if it the bracket is angled to bolt into the flat surface and the down slope, but not sure I can find a bracket at the correct angle or be able to bolt...
  6. Diamondback Covers

Since we can't purchase during these times, thought I'd ask a question of those that already own an HD. If you open the tailgate side, disconnect and fold back toward the cab, how many inches is it from the top edge by the cab to the folded lid? I was thinking about adding a 'roll bar' with...
  7. Help me buy my first topper

Out-of-the-box Thought: man, I'd like to see what these magnetic gray toppers look like on my blue Ranger with the magnetic gray accents... i.e. the grill, fender trim, rims, etc. I wouldn't take the risk of paying for something so expensive to take a chance on something so outside the box or...
  8. Internal Light ideas for bed cover (to be)

So, I've done enough research to narrow a bed cover down to the Diamondback HD. I plan to order the 13 inch bin to carry gloves, eye pro, ratchet straps, and hunting gear) and a low profile cab guard (to prevent top load from hitting the rear window). Ideas: Internal Lights I saw a topper with...
  9. Diamondback Covers

I really like the Diamondback cover, but not sure how I'll like without quick access to the bed. The side access is limited due to the height of the bed sides. The warranty, customer service, durability, tie-downs, security, and strength are all great selling points. With the folding cover...
  10. 1st Service at 5k miles

I got Protective Paint Film (PPF) on the front half and a ceramic coat all over. It'll prevent chipping, but not sure about rust prevention. What are you going to do to prevent it?
  11. 1st Service at 5k miles

He was ok with the idea of the oil change valve. He wasn't convinced yet that a catch can is proven to reduce/prevent the gunk. He didn't think it would impact the warranty...validated the funk from direct injection engines...laughed at the idea of a walnut blast due to the potential to...
  12. 1st Service at 5k miles

Much better dealership experience this time after dealing with their customer service department post-sale. Oil & filter change, tire rotation, replaced two tie-down brackets that were missing after the spray-in bedliner was applied, made extra effort to address some of the post-sale issues...
  13. ATV on a Diamondback HD cover

Sweet! I have been waiting to pull the trigger on getting a Diamondback bed cover due to the cost, but really like this cover. Q: Did the ramps not fit in the bed of the truck? Did you get the rails to use as a wheel stop or just rely on the tie down straps/cleats?
  14. Bed Step

What was second place?...what could it have been called?
  15. Job, what do you do

Army Logistician for more than 25 years and facing retirement this summer. Not sure what I want to do when I retire though. I can't stay in Fairfax County, VA unless I start a new career. Might move back to WV, but I'm flexible. So glad to get the Ranger. I get to bowhunt here in a deer...
  16. TSB: 19-2146 - 2019 Ranger - Crew Cab - Folding Rear Seat Back Excessive Latch Effort When Return...

Yes. It's something that was identified early on and was "supposed" to be corrected and not be an issue now. ...i.e. that doesn't apply to your truck that was built after that period. me: you try to latch the back seat (and I'll watch you try...and try....and try). salesman: oh, it doesn't...
  17. TSB: 19-2146 - 2019 Ranger - Crew Cab - Folding Rear Seat Back Excessive Latch Effort When Return...

So, my seat back doesn't latch. I told the dealership (prior to delivery) and they said the TSB only refers to vehicles with VINs made before a certain date. I told them that it must not have been fixed on the assembly line, because mine won't re-latch at all. When I brake, it comes forward...
  18. Painting Ranger Raptor Grille

I used automotive paint, used the adhesion promoter before, had color matched paint, but had the same issues...with adhesion promoter and base paint. I think the very light coat is the key or it will pool in the curves. It's hard to go slow because it begins to look good when the color starts...
  19. Diamondback 270 Bedcover

Can you post some pics? on truck, opened up, close up of extang tailgate seal, and a load on the top if you have one. I'm leaning toward the Diamondback, but will probably never camp on top of it. I like the durability and security of the diamondback. I want to ensure to keep out water...
