Heater fan switching from dash & foot vents to windshield vent

So, the last two mornings driving to work the heater fan has switched from blowing out the dash & foot vents to blowing out just the windshield vents all on its own.
Something going I should be worried about, or do I just rename my truck Herbie?

Try cleaning the screen? maybe if there are oils or something on it that its sensing that as a touch?

Is your HVAC set to auto? If so, that may explain it. I always have mine in manual mode.

If you have it set to (Auto) What was the Outside Ambient Temp? and What was the (Selected) Temp?

If you switch to manual - Can you select Panel - Floor - & Bi-Level
If you were to hook up a scan tool - you should see the door position (percent) as noted in the following thread:

Here is an excerpt from the owner's manual concerning HVAC auto mode:

Switching Auto Mode On and Off
Press and release the button to
switch on automatic operation,
then set the temperature.
The system adjusts the blower motor
speed, air distribution, air conditioning
operation, and outside or recirculated air
to reach and maintain the temperature you
have set.
Note: You can also switch off dual zone
mode by pressing and holding the button
for more than two seconds.

Nothing to worry about. It's just the system that protects your visibility. (On some Fords, it's even very sensitive)
