Hey guys and gals,

Has anyone ever had to replace the wiring harness inside their headlight assembly?

I tried installing switchbacks that came with resistors (before knowing about forescan to turn off hyper blinking).

Now the wires have been cut or snapped from where the resistor was on my drivers side and I no longer have a turn signal and there’s not enough room to splice to reattach the wires. It looks like I need a new harness to fit inside the assembly. The dealership said they don’t sell that part separately and need a whole assembly to replace it. Anyone have any other alternative ideas?

I bought a broken assembly on eBay. I was just gonna take the wires out of that and replace it in my assembly.

will that work? Thanks

I have not looked at the internal harness closely , as long as you can get access to the harness without splitting it apart - it will work - swapping harnesses.

You are a life saver yes I should be able to pull the harness out of the assembly. Just the fun of putting it into my existing one will be a fun project haha.
Thank you!

I put switchback turn signals on 2019 lariat, they won't switch because the wiring to the turn signal has two wires. You need three for constant power to have them switch. Lasfit switchbacks have a resistor built in, no hyper blinking. Does your truck have daylight running lights?
