Howdy,

I recently installed the Rough Country 6in LED's for our front bumpers. I had them working before I put the bumper back on, but once the bumper did go back on, the lights eventually cut off. The fuse has blown both times I've changed it and reconnected the wiring.

I think my issue may be with where I connect the positive side to the battery. Below are pictures of where I currently have it connected, including the positive terminal and the ground.

Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? I am severely electrically handicapped. Thanks for any help

It seems likely that putting the bumper back on is pulling one of the wires or shorting it out during driving vibration. I wouldn't expect any of the wiring locations shown to recurringly blow the fuse.

What is the total wattage for the lights and the size of the fuse?
(Pos) hook-up looks good but ensure the ground is a good and clean connection.
Ensure you are not pinching any wires from the bumper install and all of the lighting connections are secure.

you may try moving the Ground to the Battery Ground cable connection on the fender or reposition the ground on top of the OEM ground lug as it appears to be lopsided and the OEM Lug is hitting the wire insulation (it appears) thus not a secure and solid connection I would also clean the top of the OEM lug for a better connection if you decide to reposition it.

If the fuse is blowing, there’s a good chance you have a short somewhere. Probably pinched the wire or scraped it when you put the bumper back on. If you have a multimeter, check for continuity on both the red and black to frame. Also red to black. Disconnect both wires before doing this.

If you don’t have a multimeter, you’ll have to physically trace the wire out and see if it’s pinched or damaged somewhere. Check the factory connections on the lights too, something may have been manufactured poorly.
