I can remember 4th of July in 1976 and that being the 200th Bicentennial celebration, where has the time gone! America is an amazing country compared to so many others and it is a real shame that more cannot appreciate it. I think at times we take all we have here for granted and seeing what others from around the world have said at the World Cup makes you step back and appreciate it even more. No matter what happens in life, I am 100% proud to be an American, and living in the world’s greatest country. I hope everyone has a fun, safe 4th of July weekend.

Also, a huge THANK YOU to all of the past and present fine men and women who have served our Country in the military. And to all the fearless leaders. God Bless to all of them, and their families!

9/1/1 brought the whole country together and yet here we are 25 years later divided more than ever. I hope one day people can see past politics and realize we're all Americans, bothers and sisters and start acting like it again.

Yes it's a very touching song and really hits home for many. I'm glad it brings back good memories for you of your wife's citizenship ceremony. I'm sure it was a touching moment for all of you!

As a kid got to enjoy the bicentennial. Very grateful to experience 250. Probably not making the tricentennial.

Agree wholeheartedly with all. I was a freshman in 1976. Remember it well. My Great grandmother turned 100 July 6th.

I was in 8th grade and remember it well. Back then you don't realize the importance of it and what it all means. Sadly they don't teach kids the meaning of this now and I hope there's enough parents who are.
