Foam cannon if the vehicle got really dirty, then rinse, leaf blower dry out all the crevices, then rinseless wash.

Otherwise Wolfgang SI02 rinseless wash.

Never a car wash. Unless its a high end shop I'd just end up cleaning up after them.

Pressure washer, Foam cannon, 40 degree tip. Touch less at home. Only way it’s ever been cleaned. Love the chemical guys Extreme body wash! The way I wash my truck. Black shows every brush stroke so I just never touch it unless drying/waxing/coating. My truck is ceramic coated with CQuartz…

I foam cannon my cars in summer and car wash in winder. I cant really find a toucless car wash near me. Oh neighbors look at me crazy haha when foam cannon the truck.

hand wash is the way to go or the foam cannon. the brushed carwash is killing my paint. im planning on doing a good polish and buff then heavy wax when the weather is better to remove all the carwash ugly spots. i prepaid a membership at a drive in car wash a couple years ago for a family member that is not physically able. They stopped using the membership due to health reasons so ive been using it. service is great but with a black truck every little brush mark shows up .

I saw this when it came out and found it interesting, less likely to use auto washes now. I used them often on our Honda Pilot till we put the roof basket and now I am glad I saw this before I did it to the Ranger.

Seems like those auto washes can have soap that is more acidic in order to clean the cars in the way they do (touchless or brushed). Good little video to get you thinking about it.

for the best (maybe worst for the paint) car wash go to katy texas, buccees . the beaver will get ya scrubbed up lol. claims to be the worlds largest drive in car wash at nearly 260 feet long. if i need a rest stop and beaver nuggets i may try it...

The local spinny microfiber wash near me does a great job but it doesn't get the macho mud off the step rails, rocker panels, and wheel wells.

So after finding inspiration in this post, I went on Google and found me a wand wash. Took it down and got a cheap "topless wash" just wheel wells bumpers, rockers etc. Quick and easy!

I think I'm going to become a regular.

Always washed with buckets , use warm water in winter to save the hands . Since new the Ranger has coatings of Meguiars ceramics coating th e Saber skin . The goal is no swirl marks ever .,

I keep going to the car wash - mostly because if you buy it at the pump you get .20 off per gallon of gas that you buy.

My biggest thing for me is that I am very short, 5.1" I already know reaching the high parts is going to be an issue for me, I don't want to waste effort and time if it looks like crap when I am done. As the whether here (MD) is starting to get better I am going to try and wash that truck myself. I know a ladder and a super extended pole will be needed but if it's crap when I am done - back to the car wash I go!
