they are nice & well balanced. I have seen 1 in for repair at a local shop, so I can tell you the internals are not the same as a Citori.
the Cynergy is a little more complicated but to my knowledge, this one was the 1st one to need work. the owner uses it 3 or 4 days a week, running a 100 rounds each day.
I need his access to birdshot! Never thought birdshot would be the hard thing to find in order to shoot 3-Gun, but I can load or find 9mm and .223 all day and 12ga is hard to come by.

Yup. My son shoots trap. Two years ago, a case of shells was $30 just about everywhere. Last season, if you could find them, $100 a case?

We primarily use Winchester AAs or the now discontinued Federal Gold Medal Grands for competition. They’re anywhere from 120-150/case now. I can remember a couple short years ago buying AAs and Grands for 75/case plus a 20/case rebate. Those days are gone now.

appears a simple question of mine was deleted from another thread and this thread was offered as the place to take the convo.
interestingly, none of the other posts suffered the same fate.

where is Robb Elementary, and is it in an area with high carry/gun ownership percentages, concealed or not?
That's because YOU asked about a school shooting and had NOTHING to do with carrying in CO. Also this area is for talking about guns, accessories and laws in your state. It's not to discuss school shootings which will only turn into an argument.

Fair enough.

What do yall think about this new .30 Super Carry load and the weapons it's spawning? I don't not like what I see so far, but am not sure I'm all that excited about the hardware just yet.

Still chasing a replacement carry weapon, I guess.

While I finally broke down and bought one, 5.7, all these niche calibers are just a sales gimmick to me.

They offer a dubiously marginal benefit over common calibers and all the hype gets people to buy in to the caliber, guns, and accessories that come along with it. Then in a few years the hype and support is gone and people move on to what's hot.

The industries marketing arm knows what they are doing. And they've done it forever. The internet just makes it easier. Think of how much money people "wasted" on .40 from 1995-2005.

I think it performs as advertised.
I do not think it will be a meaningful player in the Ammo Market.

If you buy it and you like it, get ready to reload your own ammo.

I was going to get a 6.8 western but Winchester has already (temporarily) suspended Ammo Production in order to fill more lucrative established caliber orders.

Not near ready to reload my own, so that is way good advice. Thanks Greg!

im happy to see new rounds and platforms come out but at the same time im very slow to adopt one. i never wanna get into a round that ends up being an odd ball a few years later. friend of mine dove in with both feet for the wssm craze several years back and got one of those short magnum 270s in a nice rifle, fancy optics etc. he kinda snickered at my ranch rifle. now he has to beg and scrounge for ammo. my beat up old 3030 is still working just fine and the ammo is on the shelf at most stores.

Picked up a police-trade in Glock 22 Gen4 that I plan to use for camping/overlanding. While waiting for it the unfortunate school shooting happened in Texas, and all the “assaults weapons” ban talk picked up again, so I purchased Springfield Saint Victor in FDE as well.

The Glock did come with a bit of wear in the slide(as expected), but being for camping duty I do not mind the look. Just need it to go bang if called to service.

We always had real good luck with the Glock 22. We traded to the Glock 17 a couple of years ago. They have been flawless too.

I just found this thread, and wow 149 pages! I have ~30 guns or so, and lots of photos, but going to do read a bunch before posting too much.

Here is a Norinco 9mm 1911, which has been rebuilt with all STI parts. Internals have all been polished, VZ operator 2 grips, and it's my favorite shooting pistol I own. I Like it more than my actual STI 1911s, and only 1/4 the cost.

Norinco is a Chinese company, which make knock-offs. The big complaint is the fit/finish is not great, but they use great steel and make great frame/slides for project guns. This 1911 was $350 brand new, about 25-35% of an entry level 1911 from Colt, STI, Remington, Sig, etc.
