Family Firearms has been great from order to arrival is less than 5 days and the best prices. Win Win.. I paid $569 for the MP_15 with a CT Red Dot.
There is a long range here about 22 miles away, That's why I bought the .223 and sold the 22 for $250 Wasn't expecting that much. Pay them $90 bucks and they give you a key to go when ever you want with no further charges and no range master.
. I would say that's a great deal especially because I'm at the Range at least 2X a week I have all my mags loaded (have six for each gun) which pretty much uses my time. I don't use the Magula to reload my mags at the range. I shoot all the mags then leave. Only going 3-7 yd If I can get good grouping at 3-7 yards I will be very happy. I don't use the lasers at the range except to adjust them, I shoot 10 feet pretty good That's 3 yards right there
I'm surprised you sold the 22 already,it's still a fun rifle to shoot even if you have a 223. Plus it's great for training because all the mechanicals are the same as an AR and the ammo costs are pennies.
The place we go to out in the desert is about as far as your long distance range,it's 26 miles from my door. I like it because you can shoot out 600+ yards if you want to and it's nice and wide and all cleared out. We have targets set up all over from 7 & 10 yards for pistol,50,100 and usually one at 250 yards. It's an all day event between driving there, setting everything up,shooting, plus we talk like a bunch of old ladies lol, and then loading everything back up.
I ordered the 22 M&P compact on Thursday from Smokey Mountain Guns and it still hasn't shipped yet but I know they're backlogged with orders right now. I'm so busy with work I won't get out for at least 2 more weeks anyways. That darn Kimber KHX with the CT laser grips is still available at Family Firearms and calling my name. I was going to get the Rock Island 9mm but the one I wanted is now sold out. I'm waiting to hear back from one other customer, if he's willing to wait for me until the end of May I'm going to buy it. I should just get it now as I don't need the money from the job to buy it but I'm just trying to justify it by telling myself this. lol Let us know how you like the 223 once you shoot it.
