What do you think about this combo? https://www.amazon.com/Scope-Combo-...unts&qid=1587596097&s=hunting-fishing&sr=1-20I had the feeling you were going to get it sooner than later. For an AR you're better off getting a good scope (not a cheap one) because once you start going out past 100 yards it makes a huge difference. I didn't spend crazy money but mine was $250.00 and it was on sale as they were discontinuing it for a new model. It's this Nikon here.
I know you're probably thinking I won't shoot out past 100 yards and I thought that too. But after you shoot it for a while 100 yards gets boring. It's a challenge shooting out further because you then have to compensate for a lot of things like wind and bullet drop so it's fun to dial it in and hit a steel target 400+ yards out.
I wouldn't give up on the 22 yet. lol I always bring mine even when I have my 223 with me. Especially now with the price of ammo it gets expensive after a couple of mags with 223. If you need some extra mags these are good and have free shipping now if you buy 10.
